So, unfortunately there has been a bit of confusion regarding lease renewals. You may have received a revised lease. So to clear it up:

Rents for a 1 year lease have NOT been raised. And 2 year leases are subject to a 1.25% increase.

If you have received a lease with a rent increase for a 1 year renewal, and have NOT received a revised lease, please contact HSC to get one.

Also, if you not yet gotten onto the mailing list for the 50/51St Block Association, you should! It is a wealth of up to date information on the goings ons in the neighborhood.
