Dear Residents,

It's time for our annual meeting! This is an important one as there is much to discuss, including an update on our big renovation project.

The annual meeting is also when we elect our board members. As a new board member myself, I now have a greater understanding of just how important this body is to maintaining our quality of life, and indeed the very existence of the HDFC we are all so fortunate to be a part of. Active participation by its members is the only way this place keeps going. In the end, it's like we're kids whose parents left us in charge of the house while they went on vacation indefinitely. There's no one to run this but us. So I encourage you to attend the meeting, nominate and vote for board members...Or better yet, run yourself.

And as an added bonus, there will be a reception after with food and drink. ( I hear there will be flautas and guac?) And an opportunity to mingle with the people you share comparatively close quarters with. Come out!
